In New Brunswick, you can call the hospital ahead and ask for a SANE nurse (an S.A. Nurse Examiner). Nurses are also called Forensic Nurses. In British Columbia, you need to go to the hospital directly, please tell the triage nurse so that you can be cared for appropriately.

We offer immediate, free services to those who seek care from a Sexual Assault/Forensic Nurse Examiner following Intimate Partner Violence, Family Violence, or Sexual Assault.
